Karlie McKinnon is a SLC-based singer-songwriter releasing a series of singles throughout 2026 with producer Nate Pyfer at June Audio. Her music pairs honest storytelling with soulful vocals, deeper grooves, heavier guitars, and pop-Americana hooks.

Full bio

Karlie McKinnon began with intimate Americana songs about heartbreak, faith, survival, and rebuilding. In 2024, she started working with producer Scott Rogers on Part-Time Honey, an album documenting the end of one chapter and the difficult work of becoming herself again. The record was released on August 1, 2025, and celebrated with a launch show at The State Room in Salt Lake City. Since then, Karlie's music has evolved alongside her. Now working with Nate Pyfer in June Audio's legendary front house, she is releasing singles throughout 2026 that pair her honest storytelling with soulful vocals, deeper grooves, heavier guitars, grungier edges, and pop-Americana hooks. Where her earlier work focused on surviving heartbreak, her newer music is about embodiment, autonomy, desire, and taking up space. The stories are still honest — the woman telling them is simply louder, freer, and more fully herself.

Press quotes

"If you're looking for something to give you a wide range of feeling and sound, look no further than Part Time Honey. It can't be emphasized enough how great the title track is especially, so go listen right now!"

— City Weekly

"Her hair, like her art, came to life when she stopped trying to make it what others wanted. Now "my hair is my brand," she jokes. Like her music, it's the real deal, and it's beautiful."

— The Ogdenite
